I had the privilege of going to Shinjuku Station for my birthday this year. And it was just what I wanted.

If you want fancy technology, friendly staff, a decent price, and tasty sushi, this is your place.

Can you pick up on the train theme?
And there’s even a birthday surprise. If you dine with 4 or more people and you’re within plus or minus 3 days of your exact birthday, your meal is free. If you dine with 2-3 other people, you get a free slice of cheesecake.

Alright, but how was the sushi? Well, like almost every all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, there’s too much rice and not enough meat. But, it was still delicious. Just budget extra room in your stomach for all of that rice.
The robots are pretty cool. They will bring food directly to your table. The shelf that has your food lights up. You take it and it runs off to the next spot.

The lunch price was $18.99 before tax and tip. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful.
There is a tablet on the table that you order from. Once you place an order, there is a 5-minute lockout timer that prevents you from ordering again until the timer concludes. But, you can order a ton of food in each order, so that’s not a problem. Also, you have 1 hour and 40 minutes to eat and then they kick you out. I had no problem getting full in an hour, though.
Would I go back? Yes, but probably only 2-3 times per year.
