SuperDuper! for the Win!
March 23, 2008 – 6:26 pmI got Kara a MacBook for Christmas since her old MacBook pro crapped out on her. It turns out our wedding videos and pictures were bigger than I anticipated so Kara’s hard drive ran out of space. I used the following guides to successfully upgrade her hard drive:

SuperDuper! only took an hour and 23 minutes to copy the entire hard drive via USB 2.0 to the new hard drive.

I’m surprised you didn’t simply add an external USB harddrive of at least 500GB and partition for time machine and video/images.

Well I would have, but then she’d have to carry around the external drive. This way she only needs her laptop and she can use the old hard drive for Time Machine.
